H&E – Holo-Tomographic & Easy

How much time do scientists lose every year while staining tissues? Let’s just consider the most classical protocol: Hematoxylin and Eosin (H&E) stain. It requires at least 1h30 of manipulation with toxic reagents… Wouldn’t it be wonderful to get the same results dye-free and in a few seconds?

This is now possible with Nanolive’s 3D Cell Explorer. If you don’t believe us, judge by yourself!

Paraffin fixed Mouse skin sections (8 µm). On the left is shown a classical H&E stain and on the right the same tissue-type was imaged with our technology. The stain is based on the Refractive Index (RI) distribution within the tissue.
