To assess the health of reproductive organs, the evaluation of the structural and functional integrity of spermatozoa is of key importance. Besides human medical fertility applications, this holds true also for the breeding industry.
This week, we want to present how Nanolive’s technology is capable of investigating in a quantitative and reliable way the composition and morphology of sperm cells in real-time, without altering their physiological characteristics (no chemical staining).
Different animal spermatozoa have been analyzed with the 3D Cell Explorer. The obtained 3D images were later digitally stained based on their RI.
